Terms & Conditions

Version 2.0. Last updated 5 August 2026. These terms apply to all quotations, orders and sales made by Arbore.

1. Who we are

Arbore is the trade name of S.C. Carel Woodworks SRL, a furniture manufacturer registered in Satu Mare, Romania, Trade Register no. J30/29/2001, Fiscal Identification Code RO14077365. Our workshop is in Vetis, Satu Mare county. The website arbore.world is our property.

2. Who we sell to and where we ship

We sell worldwide. We work with interior designers, architects, procurement teams, hospitality and contract clients, retailers and galleries, and with private clients buying directly.

Arbore is a made-to-order manufacturer. The website is a catalogue and specification tool, not a checkout: there is no online payment. Every order begins with a written quotation.

3. Prices and VAT

Prices shown on this website and in our price lists are recommended retail prices in EUR, excluding VAT, EX WORKS our workshop in Romania (Incoterms 2020). Prices exclude transport, insurance, installation, and any duties or import taxes due in the destination country.

Prices are valid until the next edition of the price list is issued. A price confirmed in a written quotation is held for 30 days from the date of that quotation.

Trade partners are quoted on their agreed terms. Registered trade accounts receive their own pricing; the conditions of that account are agreed in writing when the account is opened.

Value added tax is applied according to the applicable law:

• Business customers inside the European Union with a valid VAT identification number are invoiced under the reverse charge mechanism.
• Customers in Romania and private customers within the European Union are invoiced with Romanian VAT at the rate in force.
• Deliveries outside the European Union are invoiced as exports, without Romanian VAT. Import duties and taxes in the destination country are the customer's responsibility.

4. Quotations and orders

Send us the pieces, quantities, sizes and finishes you need and we will issue a written quotation. We aim to answer every enquiry within one business day.

An order becomes binding when we confirm it in writing by email and the deposit has been received. A quotation on its own is not a contract. We reserve the right to decline an order.

Please check the order confirmation carefully. Finishes, dimensions, textile references and delivery address are produced exactly as confirmed.

5. Payment

Unless agreed otherwise in writing: 50% deposit on confirmation of the order, and the remaining balance before dispatch. Production begins when the deposit is received.

Goods remain the property of S.C. Carel Woodworks SRL until payment has been received in full.

Payment is by bank transfer. Bank details appear on the proforma invoice. Bank charges are borne by the payer.

6. Production and lead times

Standard lead time is 6 to 8 weeks from receipt of the deposit, confirmed for each order. Large project volumes, custom dimensions and non standard materials may require longer, and we will state this in the quotation.

Lead times are estimates given in good faith and are not guaranteed delivery dates. We will tell you promptly if a confirmed date is at risk.

7. Delivery, transport and inspection

All sales are EX WORKS our workshop. Export packing is included in the price.

We can arrange transport at cost on request, worldwide. Where we arrange transport on your behalf, we do so as your agent; risk passes to you when the goods leave our workshop.

Please inspect the goods on arrival, before the carrier leaves where possible. Any transport damage or shortage must be noted on the delivery document and reported to us in writing within 5 working days of receipt, with photographs. Claims made after this period may not be accepted by the carrier's insurance.

8. Materials, finishes and natural variation

Our pieces are made from solid oak and oak veneer, with metal, stone and textile components depending on the model. Wood finishes are Natural, Dark, Black, Honey and Hazel.

Our standard upholstery is a stain resistant contract textile. Upgrade collections are available and are priced per product. COM, customer's own material, is accepted on all upholstered pieces; required meterage is available on request.

Wood, stone and leather are natural materials. Differences in grain, shade, veining and marking between pieces, and between a piece and a photograph or sample, are characteristics of the material and are not defects. Timber also moves slightly with humidity and temperature. Physical samples are available on request and we recommend approving them before ordering for a project.

9. Warranty

We warrant our pieces against manufacturing and material defects for 2 years from the date of delivery, under normal indoor use in a domestic or commercial interior.

The warranty covers repair or, where repair is not reasonable, replacement of the affected part or piece, at our discretion. It does not cover: normal wear; damage from misuse, accident, or improper cleaning, assembly or transport by others; damage from prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, heat sources, damp or outdoor conditions; alterations made after delivery; or the natural variation described in section 8.

To make a claim, write to sales@arbore.world with your order reference, a description of the issue and photographs.

Statutory rights of consumers under applicable law are not affected by this warranty.

10. Cancellations, changes and returns

Because every piece is made to order, an order may be changed or cancelled free of charge only before production begins. After production has begun, the deposit covers materials already committed and work already carried out and is not refundable.

Made to order and customised goods are exempt from the statutory 14 day right of withdrawal that applies to distance sales of standard consumer goods within the European Union, because they are produced to the customer's specification.

Nothing in this section limits your rights where goods are defective.

11. Intellectual property

All designs, drawings, 3D files, spec sheets, photographs and texts published on this website remain the property of S.C. Carel Woodworks SRL or of the designers we collaborate with. Files are provided to support specification of our products and may not be used to manufacture, copy or adapt the designs.

12. Privacy and personal data

S.C. Carel Woodworks SRL is the controller of personal data collected through this website. We process personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679.

What we collect

If you contact us or place an order: name, company, email address, telephone number, billing and delivery address, VAT number where applicable, and the content of your enquiry. If you visit the site: technical data such as IP address, browser, pages viewed and interaction data, collected through analytics.

Why we process it, and on what basis

• To answer enquiries, prepare quotations and perform the contract with you. Basis: performance of a contract or steps taken at your request.
• To meet legal obligations, including accounting and tax records. Basis: legal obligation. Accounting records are retained for 10 years as required by Romanian law.
• To send commercial communications where you have asked to receive them. Basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time using the unsubscribe link or by writing to us.
• To keep the website secure and improve it. Basis: our legitimate interest.

Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent personal data. We share it only with service providers who act on our instructions, such as hosting, IT, transport and accounting providers, all bound by confidentiality, and with public authorities where the law requires it.

Your rights

You have the right to be informed, to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to processing, and to data portability, in the conditions set out by law. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Romanian National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version published on this page at the time your order is confirmed is the version that applies to that order.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by Romanian law. We will always try to resolve any disagreement directly and in good faith. Where that is not possible, the competent courts of Satu Mare, Romania have jurisdiction, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rules in the customer's country of residence.
