Steekla Table

The Steekla Table comes in two lengths, for groups of six or eight. It takes its cues from the forest, from branches meeting a trunk, and translates that into a frame of solid oak limbs.

Those limbs are not only decorative: they give you somewhere to hang a bag or a scarf while you sit. The angled edge of the top invites you to move in closer, which is exactly what you want around a dining table or in a meeting room.

Designed by Jesse Hill of Hill Design Studio. Steekla began as a conversation about traditional Romanian woodwork, filtered through Japanese and minimalist influences. The post and dowel construction is a direct nod to the forest the timber comes from.
