The lounge chair from the Cannoli range, with the bent oak frame wrapping the upholstered body the same way it does on the sofa.

The backrest angle is set for real sitting rather than for the photograph, and the arms are wide enough to rest on properly. It works on its own or as a pair facing the sofa.

The designer

Designed by Studio Claud Christian, the Newcastle practice of Claudia Surrage and Christian Cowper. Their work celebrates materials for what they are, and this range came from looking at Romania's decorative heritage next to the brutalist architecture found across the country.
