In Situ at Isola Design Festival

Milan Design Week has always been a place where new ideas take shape, bringing together designers, architects and brands from around the world to explore the future of contemporary design.

For Arbore, participating at Isola Design Festival 2026 marked an important milestone. It was the first opportunity to present part of the In Situ Collection to an international audience in one of Milan's most vibrant design districts.

Located in the heart of Isola, our installation introduced visitors to a selection of pieces designed in collaboration with architect Cezar Moldovan.

A Curated Selection

The exhibition brought together four pieces that represent different aspects of the collection.

The Enclave Shelving Unit explored rhythm, openness and architectural composition. Built from solid oak and brushed stainless steel, its structure allows light to pass through, making it equally suited as a room divider or a freestanding shelving piece.

The Kafka Lounge Chair offered a softer expression of the collection. Its generous proportions and sculptural silhouette invited visitors to experience the balance between comfort and craftsmanship.

The Pontos Wall Sculpture introduced another dimension to the collection. More than decorative, it demonstrated how furniture and art can coexist, becoming part of the architecture itself.

Completing the installation was the Monolit Side Table, presented in ALPI veneer. Its bold geometric form highlighted the expressive character of engineered wood while celebrating the craftsmanship behind every detail.

A Conversation About Materials

One of the most rewarding aspects of the exhibition was seeing how visitors responded to the materials.

Solid wood, brushed stainless steel and ALPI veneer each offered a different tactile experience. Rather than competing for attention, they worked together to create a calm, balanced atmosphere that encouraged people to slow down, touch the surfaces and engage with the objects.

Throughout the week, conversations naturally shifted from furniture to architecture, craftsmanship and the stories behind each piece.

Meeting the Design Community

Isola Design Festival provided the opportunity to connect with architects, interior designers, galleries, collectors and fellow creatives from across the world.

These conversations confirmed something we strongly believe: people are increasingly looking for furniture with character, authenticity and lasting value. Objects that are thoughtfully designed, beautifully crafted and capable of becoming part of a space for many years.

Looking Forward

Our presence at Isola was more than an exhibition. It marked another step in Arbore's journey into the world of collectible design.

The relationships formed during Milan Design Week have already opened new opportunities, including international gallery representation and collaborations that will continue to shape the future of the In Situ Collection.
