A Collection Shaped by Architecture

Every year, Alcova transforms remarkable historic buildings into temporary homes for some of the most progressive voices in contemporary design. During Milan Design Week 2026, we were proud to present the In Situ Collection within the unique setting of the Ospedale Militare di Baggio.

The atmosphere of Alcova perfectly reflected the spirit of the collection. Raw walls, natural light and the history of the space created a dialogue with the furniture, allowing every piece to be experienced in a way that would not be possible in a traditional showroom.

A Space Designed Around Material

For Alcova, we presented a curated selection from the In Situ collection, each piece expressing a different aspect of our collaboration with architect Cezar Moldovan.

At the centre of the installation stood the Luna Table, where a sculptural solid oak base supports a refined tabletop, creating a balance between strength and lightness.

Alongside it, the Luna Chair introduced a softer, more intimate scale to the space. Designed to complement the table while maintaining its own identity, it reflects the same attention to proportion, comfort and craftsmanship.

The Enclave Shelving Unit, presented in a deep black finish, became one of the defining elements of the exhibition. Its open architectural structure framed the surrounding space while allowing light to pass through, constantly changing its appearance throughout the day.

Completing the installation was the Kafka Sofa, bringing warmth and comfort to the environment. Its generous proportions and carefully crafted upholstery contrasted beautifully with the architectural character of the other pieces, creating a setting that felt both refined and welcoming.

A Week of Conversations

One of the most rewarding parts of Alcova was the people we met.

Throughout the week, architects, collectors, interior designers, galleries and design enthusiasts visited the installation, sharing their thoughts and engaging in conversations about craftsmanship, materials and the role of furniture in contemporary interiors.

Many visitors were discovering Arbore for the first time. Others were already familiar with our work and were curious to see how the brand had evolved into the world of collectible design.

These conversations reinforced our belief that people are looking for objects with substance. Pieces that are thoughtfully designed, beautifully made and capable of becoming part of a space for many years.

A Defining Moment for Arbore

Our participation at Alcova represented an important milestone in the evolution of Arbore.

It was the first time the In Situ collection was presented in one of the most influential exhibitions of Milan Design Week, placing our work alongside leading international designers and emerging voices shaping the future of collectible design.

The response to the collection opened new opportunities, meaningful collaborations and international recognition, including our representation by Galerie Philia.

Looking Forward

Alcova marked the beginning of an exciting new chapter.

The experience confirmed that architecture, craftsmanship and honest materials continue to resonate with people around the world. It also strengthened our ambition to keep creating furniture that feels timeless, expressive and deeply connected to the spaces it inhabits.

We leave Milan inspired, grateful and motivated for what comes next. The journey of the In Situ collection has only just begun.
